I’ve been hankering to add a new version of the Quilt Shop Cuckoo Clock to my line. Just a face lift; the quilter with her table, the fabric bolts, and the kitty will remain the same. The changes will be to the actual front of the clock and the finish of the roof.
So I’m wondering, what does an American-looking version of the Quilt Shop Cuckoo Clock look like to you?
A sweet clapboard cape? A Victorian charmer? An awning-festooned store front? Where will the quilts hang?
As you can see, I have a stripped down (it was damaged) clock all ready for new siding and other details to become a prototype to send to Germany to turn into a real working clock.
Please share your thoughts in the comments below so we can make the American Quilt Shop Cuckoo Clock a reality!

Country cottage with white picket fence and quilts line drying on the clothes line and over the porch railings with a rocking chair and quilted pillow. Welcome mat that says “I love quilting” greeting visitors to the barn door with top half open letting the breezes flow through. Chickens and, of course, a cat in the yard!
make it a small town store front with quilts hanging out front that would rise and fall on the hour and halfhour
Victorian would be beautiful, and I would especially like to see shingles on the roof. I’d like to see quilts hanging over the balcony and adding music would be nice.
We have a cabin and lodge style home. I would really like a mountain home style cuckoo clock for my sewing/quilting room. I have a little white malti-poo dog too.
Let me know what you think?

Hi Robin,
I’m working on a log cabin quilt that is a cuckoo clock. It’s still in only in electronic form, but I hope to get a first one started in wood. Right now I’m trying to wrap the side borders around the sides of the clock, but the measurements to make the quilt look right don’t work for the depth the clock needs to be. Would you like to take a peek? I can email it to you when there’s something to show.

The all American Barn quilt designs would be wonderful on this clock!
A clever quilter could make more and attach them ;)

Interesting
I LOVE THE IDEA OF AN AWNING-FESTOONED STORE FRONT!!. Our family business was canvas awnings. I began sewing that way. Put me on the waiting list for one of those. Exciting!!
Store front with an awning!! Sign me to the waiting list for this one!! Sold!
Such timing Terri!
Once the Christmas rush is over I’ll be starting a new design. I was thinking the Quilt Shop redo/update should be one of the first ones. It’s sliding to the front burner!
Thanks for your enthusiasm.
