What inspired me to make this clock? Frankly, a color-blocked dress I made in the 80’s.
While I was working on the Log Cabin Quilt Cuckoo Clock ideas for other designs rolled through my head. That dress popped up leading me to a Google trip back in time to the Dutch painter Piet Mondrian whose work created an entire look in clothing and interior decorating. A “thing” we would call it today.
The Design
This clock is a simple rectangle with a cuckoo door and cuckoo, plus weights, pendulum, and the pull down to silence the clock. Sometimes simplicity it the way to go!
Options
My first go at the clock I painted soft and let the brown of the engraved lines show through. I loved it but figured I go true to the look for the next clock, making the leading lines black. I’ve seen the actual blocks of color for Mondrian idea done in all sorts of colorways. I can paint or stain a clock according to your vision or even inlay wood veneer. Send me an email, text or call to discuss what you have in mind.
The Clockworks
The clockworks are imported from the Black Forest: the Regula 8-day movement, the Keinzler bellows, the cuckoo, and even the lift wires for the bellows. From there, I design and build my clocks at my farm in Hickory Flat, Georgia. They are made as they are in Germany.

Availability
Please note that we hand craft our clocks specially for you. An estimated ship date from when an order is placed is noted above, but that changes depending upon what is in the queue. When you order a clock, I will respond with a firm delivery date. I appreciate your patience!
Delivery
When possible, we prefer to hand deliver our clocks, thereby avoiding the inevitable jostling involved in shipping.
Our clocks are packed carefully with materials particular to each clock. Please keep that box in case you need to pack your clock for shipping one day as the included packing is safest for your clock. Bubble wrap is not a cuckoo clock’s friend!
For clocks to be shipped, the boxed clock is then packed in a shipping box to further protect the clock. We see very little shipping damage, but just in case!
We charge only the cost to ship, using UPS inside the United States and either Postal Service or DHL to Canada.
Shipping Outside the U.S.
Yes, I do ship outside of the United Sates. We charge the actual cost to ship to you.
Support
Each of our clocks is hand crafted using genuine Black Forest clockworks and tested for weeks to keep time and operate perfectly.
We include detailed instructions to set up your clock and are happy to have a video call with you to walk you through the process. Contact us with any questions and we will get your clock running — and cuckooing!
*Naturally, we can’t be responsible for and damage to or mishandling of your clock. But we will find someone to help you get that stuck chain that your grandchild pulled too hard fixed.
