The “Birdie” Golf Cuckoo Clock

Constructed entirely of wood using genuine Black Forest clockworks, the Golf Cuckoo Clock represents Jodie’s original vision for her business: to make cuckoo clocks that reflect our passions and interests today.

American Made

Jodie chose poplar, a wood quite similar to the linden wood used in Black Forest clock making, to construct her clocks. The poplar Jodie’s team uses is local, some harvested from the woods in Hickory Flat and milled on a 1950’s sawmill.

For the final American made touch, Jodie enlisted the help of a local blacksmith to hand forge weights.

Authentic Black Forest Clockworks

As for all of American Cuckoo Clock Company’s clocks, the clockworks are imported from the Black Forest. To this day the clockworks used in German cuckoo clocks are made in the Black Forest — even the chains! We do the same, using authentic German Regula movements and Kienzler bellows.

Speaking of the bellows, on the hour and half hour, the bellows sound the call of the cuckoo. But in the case of the Golf Cuckoo Clock the “birdie” is an American favorite, a Blue Bird, that hops up and down on the starter shack.

Customize Your Cuckoo Clock

The Golf Cuckoo Clock can be customized in these ways:

1. From the clothing to the hair we can paint the golfer any color you want.
2. We can print your scorecard on the side of the clock. Please do run your artwork by us to make sure it’s of the quality necessary to look good on the clock.
3. The clock is shipped without a ball so you can put a golf ball from your favorite club on it. If you’d rather us ship it with a plain ball, do let us know!
4. You can opt for weights made by a local blacksmith or traditional pine cone weights imported from Germany.
